The success of allergy treatment depends decisively on a detailed diagnosis. There are two different types of diagnosis available for the physician with allergy experience.

In-vivo diagnostic (In vivo = in or on the organism):
In-vivo diagnostic of allergic diseases is done for example with the help of

skin prick testing,

intracutaneous testing and

challenge tests.

In-vitro diagnostic (In vitro = in the test tube):
In the in-vitro diagnostic the serum of the allergic person is examined in the laboratory. This method offers the physician a range of approximately 600 allergens.
